We believe in one true and living God who is:
Eternal - Without beginning, without end, and unchanging. Almighty - Having all power. Sovereign - He is the Most High, Lord and King. Perfect - He is good, He is holy and he loves us.
We believe that He is the creator of everything in the universe, all that we can see and all that we cannot see.
We believe that He made us for the purpose of knowing and enjoying His goodness for ever.
We believe that He made us with free choice so that we can choose whether we want to know and follow Him or not.
We believe that all people everywhere have chosen to live without Him in a state of alienation from Him with no regard for Him or what He seeks from us. This is what the Bible calls Sin.
We believe that sin has consequences both in the world now and in the world to come. God's judgements are His loving reminder to humble our pride, and to help us seek after Him.
Everyone knows the pain of sickness and many the pain of the death of someone close and precious. This was never God's original intention. Sickness and death came into the world as a loving reminder of our state of spiritual sickness and death in being separated from our creator.
We believe that though our earthly bodies die, death is not the end but that we will all stand before the throne of God and that every one of us deserves the eternal judgement for seeking to live without Him. We are all in a state of great peril as nothing could be more terrifying than to face Him with our sins unforgiven.
We believe that the bottom line in the universe is that God loves us and wants us to come back to him.
We believe that God has constantly spoken to us through his prophets in the Old Testament of the Bible:
"Come now, let us reason together" says The Lord. Though your sins are red as crimson they shall be white as snow" - Isaiah 1:18
We believe that from the very beginning God planned how to save us from our sins and the consequences of them. God's love for us is unchanging and God's perfect holiness which must judge our sin in unchanging. The only way for Him to save us was to become one of us and to live as one of us but without sin, as only He is without sin, and then to die not for His sin but for ours, in our place.
We believe this was fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ, who as the Son of God, lived a perfect and sinless life. He was a man as we are and God as God is, and died on a Roman Cross but rose from the dead on the third day. Having completed His work to save us, He has returned to Heaven and is waiting for us to believe and trust in Him.
We believe that on the cross, Jesus fully received God's wrath and judgement that our sins deserve; he died in our place and is able and willing to forgive, cleanse and accept us if we ask Him to.
We believe that this is good news for everyone because:
Jesus Christ loves us. Jesus Christ died for us. Jesus Christ rose again from the dead for us. Jesus Christ is waiting and willing to forgive us. Jesus Christ is waiting and willing to give us eternal life. Jesus Christ is waiting for you to ask him to.
